One of the companies that is working on this vision is Ritual, a decentralized AI platform that came out of stealth mode recently. Ritual raised $25 million in a seed funding round led by Archetype, a venture capital firm that focuses on Web3 projects. Ritual plans to launch its platform in early 2024, and is looking for developers and users who want to join its community.
Ritual's platform will use advanced technologies like zero-knowledge proofs and Outline Processor Markup Language (OMPL) to ensure that the AI models on its platform are trustworthy, private, and efficient. Ritual will also offer a network of graphics processing units (GPUs), which are devices that can process images and videos faster than regular computers. Ritual's GPUs will enable anyone to use or create high-quality AI models, without having to buy expensive hardware or software.
Ritual's co-founder, Niraj Pant, said that Web3 and AI are the future of the internet, and that they can create a more open, universally accessible, and critical technology. He said that Ritual's goal is to empower people to use AI for good, and to democratize the AI creation and distribution.
